Jefferson Student to Compete in National Poetry Slam

Jefferson School fourth grader Ndeye Biteye competed in the America SCORES Regional Poetry Slam and subsequently won placement for the National Poetry Slam in Washington, D.C.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 caused the national slam to be postponed.

Determined not to allow our poet-athletes to be denied their moment to shine, the American SCORES national council has provided a virtual "NATIONAL POETRY SLAM" throughout the month of September.

Please help us promote Ndeye's talent and vote for her at this link: http://bit.ly/PoetrySlamFinals. With enough votes, Ndeye is sure to take first place!!!

Ndeye is a participant in the Better Family Life-America SCORES after school program.
