Be Safe, Be Healthy, Be #NormandyStrong

Parent COVID Information Meeting Recording

Thank you to the parents, staff, community and presenters for attending the Jan. 12 Zoom call. The meeting featured Dr. Phil Pusateri, NSC CFO/Associate Superintendent and Dr. Monique Williams, Medical Director for New Horizon Living. Dr. Pusater provided an update on the district's COVID mitigation efforts and how the revised CDC guidelines were being implemented in schools. Dr. Williams shared facts about coronavirus and information on vaccines and how they work. Both presenters took questions from attendees. The questions and answers are being compiled for an FAQ that will be posted on this site.

The recording of the meeting is posted below and also on the district's YouTube channel:  https://youtu.be/ia4d8jw36Zs

Be Safe, Be Healthy, Be #NormandyStrong

COVID diagnoses are inching up so this is the perfect time to remind our students, staff and families of the safety protocols to keep COVID-19 away!

Normandy launched its Be Safe! Be Healthy! Be #NormandyStrong! COVID health and safety campaign earlier this year. The launch included providing staff members a COVID safety pack, with face masks, hand sanitizer, and mints :-). The district has also produced videos featuring staff members to remind staff and families of the healthy habits and tips to get COVID out of our community. In addition to the campaign, the district has also updated its COVID mitigation return to learn plan

Another component of the campaign is a Student Art Contest. We're asking our talented students to share any artwork, videos or other visual art medium reminding us of ways to stay healthy. Students will be awarded prizes including gift cards. Details and entry information to come soon!

We know what works: masks, washing hands, and staying away from others. Working together we can help get back to normal and help keep students in the buildings. Be Safe! Be Healthy! Be #NormandyStrong!
