    STATEWIDE SCHOLARSHIPS

    MARGUERITE ROSS BARNETT SCHOLARSHIP - This need-based scholarship was established for students who are employed while attending school part-time. Student must: 1) Have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file by August 1, 2019.  2) Be enrolled at least half time, but less than full time (6-11 credit hours), at a participating Missouri postsecondary school. 3)Be employed and compensated for at least 20 hours per week.  4)Be at least 18 years old.   If your college/university participates, apply with your advisor in the financial aid office and provide them with a completed Marguerite Ross Barnett Employment Verification Form each year.  Scholarship details can be found on the website: https://dhe.mo.gov/ppc/grants/rossbarnett.php

     

    UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

    Southeast Show-Me-Gold Program Southeast Missouri State University and the Missouri National Guard worked together to develop a unique dynamic program that prepares young adults for leadership positions in the Missouri National Guard as well as preparation for management and leadership positions in the civilian workforce.  The program offers students a way to serve in the National Guard as future officers while going to college that will provide them with the opportunity to earn their degree and to become commissioned officers in the Missouri National Guard.     NATIONWIDE SCHOLARSHIPS

    HORATIO ALGER CAREER & TECHNICAL SCHOLARSHIP - The Horatio Alger Scholarship Association is especially seeking seniors, who are seeking to pursue career or technical education in a post-secondary environment, who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity as well as strength of character, critical financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education and a desire to contribute to society. The Association will award 1,020 scholarships with a maximum award amount of $2,500 depending on the cost of the program and need of the applicant. Applications submitted after June 15 will be reviewed on a rolling basis and awards are contingent on availability.

    KIDGUARD FOR EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM - The people at KidGuard are passionate about the healthy development of children and Families. This scholarship was started in an effort to bring awareness and inspire solutions on issues such as cyberbullying, online predators, teen suicide and childhood depression in the age of technology. All high school students, grades 9 - 12, are eligible to participate. Multiple scholarships will be awarded ranging from $500 to $1,000. Students are required to write a well thought out essay using one of the five prompts KidGuard provides.
