Mr. Pablo Flinn, Principal

Pablo Flinn began his tenure as the Interim Principal at Normandy High School for the 2017-2018 school year, and was appointed Building Principal in 2018. Prior to joining Normandy, Mr. Flinn served as Associate Principal in the Ladue School District. A veteran educator, Mr. Flinn has served students in a variety of capacities including his work as an Area Coordinator with Special School District for University City School District and with local private schools. He has also worked as the Assistant Program Director and a Classroom Teacher with Epworth School. Mr. Flinn has also served as a school board member with the School District of University City, and City Councilman for the City of Olivette. Mr. Flinn earned his bachelor’s degree in Education/Special Education (K-12) from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He has a master’s degree from UMSL, in Reading Specialist. Mr. Flinn earned an additional master’s degree and Education Specialist degree from Missouri Baptist University. He is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., and Prince Hall Affiliated Free and Accepted Masons.

Dr. Dustin Stockmann, Assistant Principal

Dr. Dustin Stockmann, assistant principal, received his doctoral degree in Entomological (insects) Research from Lindenwood University. Dr. Stockman says receiving his degree changes the way he teaches his students, "To complete this degree I really had to look at not only the way I was teaching, but the way the students learn and succeed in the 21st Century classroom." He hopes his hard work and dedication to achieve his doctorate will be an inspiration to his students. Dr. Stockmann previously worked at Normandy High School as a teacher in the Project Lead the Way Biomedical/Science track.

Mr. Isaiah Melendez, Assistant Principal

Isaiah Melendez came to Normandy from the Ferguson-Florissant School District where he served as the assistant principal at Cross Keys and Berkeley Middle schools. Prior to his work in Ferguson-Florissant, he was 7th/8th-grade writing teacher at KIPP Inspire Academy. He also taught at Ritenour High School for two years as a social studies teacher, serving on numerous leadership committees that involved work with PBIS, professional development, and establishing universal practices around Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). In 2014 Mr. Melendez partnered with local districts, nonprofit organizations and institutions like PBS-Nine Network, Washington University, and EdPlus to empower his students to take civic action around conversations on race and inequality in schools. He started his career working at a small private school for two years before moving on to St. Louis Public Schools. A native of Chicago, Mr. Melendez holds three degrees from Missouri Baptist University: a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a specialization in the social sciences; a master’s degree in Education Administration; and an Education Specialist in School and District Leadership.
