Alternative Methods of Learning

UPDATE: Alternative Methods of Instruction

The Normandy Schools Collaborative has an approved Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Plan with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) department, allowing remote learning on inclement weather days instead of cancellations. DESE mandates 169 school days and 1,044 instructional hours per year. If closures exceed 4-5 days, the AMI Plan ensures learning continues without extending the school year.

On AMI days, all PreK-12 students will transition to remote learning. Students with electronic devices will receive their assignments online from their schools or teachers. Those without access to a device can pick up printed materials from their school.
