Human Resources

Welcome to the Human Resources Department

One of the most critical resources for any school district is its people. The teachers in the classrooms, the administrators who secure resources and talent, and the support staff preparing the meals, answering the phones, keeping the facilities clean and in working order.

Normandy's Human Resources department strives to recruit, hire and retain highly qualified, competent and caring staff to support and educate our students. HR staff use a variety of methods to recruit applicants including advertising, campus visits, Missouri Regional Education Applicant Placement (MOREAP), as well as the Normandy website. Certificated, classified, and substitute employees are recruited and hired by the Human Resources staff.

In addition to recruitment, Human Resouces also provides support to the district and its current employees. Employee benefits (i.e., sick leave, vacation, personal leave, etc.) are managed and monitored by Human Resources. Additionally, renewal and upgrading of educator certificates are processed by the Human Resources staff and forwarded to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Assistance and advice are provided to educators who may be seeking additional or temporary certification. Normandy has a competitive compensation plan for all employees.

The Human Resources department is also responsible for investigating and resolving employee relations and compliance issues.

NSC Expands Staff Referral Program for Teachers and Drivers

The Normandy Schools Collaborative is offering several incentives to encourage qualified teachers and bus drivers to join the team to help meet the district’s critical needs for the upcoming school year.

Classroom Teachers: Normandy staff who refer a candidate for a teaching position are eligible to receive a $2,000 bonus. The successful candidate must have certification and remain employed for a minimum of six months for the employee to receive the incentive.

Bus Drivers: To help bring in more bus drivers, the district is offering a $1,000 incentive to current employees who refer a successful bus driver candidate. The successful candidate must be employed for a minimum of 90 days and have a valid commercial driver’s licence (CDL). The incentive is also available for trainee referrals who successfully complete the training process,  earn their CDL, and remain employed in good standing for a minimum of 90 days.

Please note: The referral incentives are not available to hiring managers.
