Prop V Progress - Construction Updates
April 2022 Update

Students and staff have moved into the fashion room at West Hall, where crews are finishing up construction. The hoods are being added to the Culinary Suite and, hopefully, move-in can begin soon. Construction continues at East Hall and on the new Secured Connector. Demolition is underway in parts of East Hall as well as framing for new rooms. Concrete has been poured for the foundation of the Secured Connector and footings are being added.
These improvements are made possible, thanks to the approval of Prop V in April 2021. The no-tax-rate increase bond issue provided $26 million for improvements at the high school, including a new cafeteria, and classroom renovations.
The secured connector is scheduled for completion in 2023.
March 2022 Update

Renovations continue at Normandy High School, where crews are putting the final touches on the Culinary Arts Suite in West Hall. Demolition is also underway at East Hall as crews work on the new Secured Connector.

February 2022 Update

Despite several snow days, crews continued to work on the ongoing construction of a new Secured Connector from Central to East Hall. Progress includes asbestos abatement in East Hall and the groundwork for the Secured Connector. That includes utility work and the construction of a new wall.

January 2022 Update

While students and staff were away on Winter Break, crews were hard at work on the ongoing renovation of West Hall and the construction of a new Secured Connector from Central to East Hall. Progress includes a West Hall computer lab, improved hallways, stairwells, asbestos abatement in East Hall, and the groundwork for the Secured Connector.

December 2021 Update

Construction continues on several big projects at Normandy High School. Crews are finishing up construction of renovated classrooms in West Hall and furniture is being delivered.
The new secure connector, a structure that will connect Central and East halls providing a covered walkway between the two buildings, is also starting to take shape. The job site is being set up and utilities are starting to be laid.

Construction Begins on Secured Connector

NSC broke ground on the next phase of the Normandy High School transformation! Construction is beginning on the new secured connector, a structure that will connect Central and East halls, providing a covered walkway between the two buildings, in addition to a new office suite, and student commons.
Civic leaders, community partners, staff and students helped make the occasion special with remarks, a performance and groundbreaking.

Construction continues inside West Hall with plenty of progress being made. The improvements are made possible by the passage of Prop V, which provided $26 million for improvements at Normandy High School.

Renovations to West Hall are still ongoing, but some of the projects are complete, including improvements to the cafeteria.
The new Culinary Arts suite is still under construction, made possible by the passage of Prop V, which provided $26 million for improvements at Normandy High School.

Construction Begins in West Hall
This is the place to get all the updates on the Prop V construction at Normandy High School. In April 2021, NSC voters approved Prop V, the no-tax-rate increase bond issue, providing $26 million for improvements at the high school, including a new cafeteria, and classroom renovations.
West Hall is being completely gutted and will be transformed into state-of-the-art classroom and learning spaces for students. This building will be home to the new Culinary Arts suite and renovated cafe/food court.
