Friends of Normandy Schools Foundation

Your Donations and Support Make A Difference!

The Friends of Normandy School District Foundation was formed in March of 2005 and is an independent, not-for-profit organization whose sole purpose is to solicit, manage and distribute funds for scholarships and to enrich the educational experiences of the children in the Normandy School District. The Foundation was modeled after the nationally acclaimed Carson Scholarship Foundation founded by the esteemed surgeon, Dr. Ben Carson.

The Friends of Normandy School District Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit corporation as stipulated in the Articles of Incorporation filed in 2006. The Foundation is based upon the philosophy that public education can be endowed through a broad-based system of community support, thus providing another avenue for enhancing and augmenting educational opportunities for students and teachers in the Normandy Schools Collaborative. The Foundation is governed by a 15 member Board of Directors.

In recognition of academic excellence, the Foundation holds its annual Scholarship Gala, a black-tie affair. Every year, hundreds of family, alumni, staff and community members support this critical scholarship fundraiser.
