MISSOURI BRIGHT FLIGHT SCHOLARSHIP - The Bright Flight Scholarship program is for seniors who plan to stay in Missouri to attend college and who have a qualifying ACT score. For information regarding qualifying scores, visit the Missouri Department of Higher Education website at http://dhe.mo.gov/ppc/grants/brightflight.php. There is no application form for this scholarship. Recipients will be awarded by a transfer of funds into their account at the Missouri school they attend next fall. MARGUERITE ROSS BARNETT SCHOLARSHIP - This need-based scholarship was established for students who are employed while attending school part-time. Student must: 1) Have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file by August 1, 2019. 2) Be enrolled at least half time, but less than full time (6-11 credit hours), at a participating Missouri postsecondary school. 3)Be employed and compensated for at least 20 hours per week. 4)Be at least 18 years old. If your college/university participates, apply with your advisor in the financial aid office and provide them with a completed Marguerite Ross Barnett Employment Verification Form each year. Southeast Show-Me-Gold Program Southeast Missouri State University and the Missouri National Guard worked together to develop a unique dynamic program that prepares young adults for leadership positions in the Missouri National Guard as well as preparation for management and leadership positions in the civilian workforce. The program offers students a way to serve in the National Guard as future officers while going to college that will provide them with the opportunity to earn their degree and to become commissioned officers in the Missouri National Guard. UMSL Pierre Laclede Honors College Scholarships - Each Honors College student admitted in good standing qualifies for an Honors College Merit Scholarship; and if living on campus (Oak Hall, Villa Hall, or Mansion Hills), an Honors College Residential Life Scholarship. These scholarships are offered in addition to any other scholarships awarded by UMSL and are renewable as long as the student continues to meet certain criteria. AES ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP - AES Engineering believes that a high GPA should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason, they are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted. Students are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. To apply, students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to a given prompt. BEAUTY + WELLNESS SCHOLARSHIP FOR WOMEN - Living a totally healthy lifestyle can be surprisingly challenging in our modern society-especially for college students! This program was established to provide financial support to college women who are striving to lead healthy lifestyles. If you're a female high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who is committed to maintaining personal wellness, this is the scholarship for you! This scholarship is offered four times each year! The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship award and a care package filled with organic products. FILTER KING #GOGREEN SCHOLARSHIP 2019 - Filter King is pleased to announce the $1,000 Filter King #GoGreen Scholarship for the 2019-2020 School year. The scholarship is intended to provide both financial assistance and recognition to talented, creative students. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Scholarship applicants are asked to discuss habits and clean air alternatives that can be taken to reduce air pollution. HORATIO ALGER CAREER & TECHNICAL SCHOLARSHIP - The Horatio Alger Scholarship Association is especially seeking seniors, who are seeking to pursue career or technical education in a post-secondary environment, who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity as well as strength of character, critical financial need, a good academic record, commitment to pursue a college education and a desire to contribute to society. The Association will award 1,020 scholarships with a maximum award amount of $2,500 depending on the cost of the program and need of the applicant. Applications submitted after June 15 will be reviewed on a rolling basis and awards are contingent on availability.
KIDGUARD FOR EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM - The people at KidGuard are passionate about the healthy development of children and Families. This scholarship was started in an effort to bring awareness and inspire solutions on issues such as cyberbullying, online predators, teen suicide and childhood depression in the age of technology. All high school students, grades 9 - 12, are eligible to participate. Multiple scholarships will be awarded ranging from $500 to $1,000. Students are required to write a well thought out essay using one of the five prompts KidGuard provides. REDFIN SCHOLARSHIP - Redfin, a real estate brokerage, is offering a $2,500 bi-annual scholarship. Awards will be delegated in both the Spring and Fall. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and a current graduating high school senior or current freshman, sophomore, or junior in college attending an accredited university or college. A cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale is also required. The is an essay requirement (300-500 words). The Fall application period is from May 1 - July 31 of each year.
RESPONSIFY EMPOWERING OTHERS SCHOLARSHIP - Responsify, an innovative marketing strategy company focused on transforming businesses and strengthening customer relations, is excited to share this $1,000 scholarship opportunity. The scholarship will be awarded to an applicant that that is able to reflect on one of their core values: empowering the people around you. All applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited college or university for the semester they are applying to receive the scholarship. THE YOUTHIST SCHOLARSHIP - The Youthist is asking high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students to share their perspective on racial diversity and its importance specifically within the beauty and fashion industries. The Youthist has created this $1,000 scholarship in a bid to not only to improve visibility on the issue but also to help contribute to the raising costs of higher education.
